The Maffra Community Sports Club Inc. Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held at the Club on Wednesday, 23 September 2026. The meeting will be held in the Function Room (Level 1).


The AGM provides an opportunity for Members to hear important updates regarding the Club, review the past year and participate in matters relating to the Club’s future.

  • Q1. When is the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM)?

    The AGM will be held on Wednesday, 23 September 2026 at 7 pm at the Maffra Community Sports Club, 122–126 Johnson Street, Maffra VIC.

  • Q2. What business will be covered at the AGM?

    The AGM included:


    Confirmation of minutes from the previous AGM.


    - Presentation of reports from the Committee.


    - Consideration of financial statements and the auditor’s report.


    - Election summary of Committee members.


    - Any special business properly notified under the Constitution.


  • Q3. How to nominate for election to the Committee?

     How to Nominate:


    - Complete the Nomination Form.


    - Attach all required compliance forms.


    - Completed nomination forms must be submitted to the General Manager or Secretary by Monday, 24 August 2026, being 30 days prior to the AGM on Wednesday, 23 September 2026.

  • Q4. Who can nominate for election to the Committee?

    To be eligible, candidates must:


    - Be a Platinum Member for at least 3 consecutive years.


    - Be a financial Voting Member at the time of nomination.


    - Support the Club’s purposes and comply with its Constitution.


    - Possess a general understanding of business and accounting principles.


    - Be willing to complete training, including:


    - Responsible Service of Gaming (RSG).


    -Anti-Money Laundering & CounterTerrorism Financing (AML/CTF).


    -Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) compliance requirements.


    -Hold a valid Director ID with ASIC (if self-employed).

  • Q5. Can I vote by Proxy at the Annual General Meeting?

    If you cannot attend an AGM, you may appoint another Voting Member to act as your proxy.


    -Proxy forms are available from the General Manager in-venue.


    -Completed forms must be signed and lodged with the Chair before voting begins.


    Approved Proxy Forms can be obtained by contacting the General Manager at manager@maffracsc.com.au


    Proxy Forms can then be submitted by either emailing manager@maffracsc.com.au or by handing the completed form into the General Manager in-venue.


    If no proxy is nominated, the Chair of the AGM will act as your proxy.

  • Q6. What documents are available to members for the AGM?

  • Q7. What voting directions can I give my proxy?

    When completing the proxy form, you may direct your proxy to:

    • Vote in favour of a resolution.
    • Vote against a resolution.
    • Vote as the Committe see fit.
  • Q8. What happens if I don’t tick a box on the proxy form?

    If no option is selected, your proxy will be entitled to vote as they see fit.

  • Q:9. How many Commitee members are up for election?

    In the 2026 Annual General Meeting, there will be three vacant positions, and the incumbent members has offered themselves for re-election.

We'll receive your selection soon afterwards and verify your voting credentials. Once your Platinum Membership status has been ratified your vote will be locked in and recorded to our membership register.
