Barrel and Bliss Announces Spanish Tapas  Restaurant Closure. 

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of our Spanish Tapas Restaurant at Barrel and Bliss.

From the beginning, our dream was to bring a taste of Spanish tapas, fine wines, and handcrafted cocktails to Maffra. 

Over the past 15 months, we have welcomed more than 3,316 guests across 148 services, earned a 4.8-star Google rating, and were honoured with an Australian Good Food Guide Readers’ Choice Award. 

We are incredibly proud of what we have created together. Unfortunately, despite these achievements, the challenges proved too great to overcome and we were not able to reach financial stability. After careful consideration, the difficult decision was made to close the restaurant. 

We know this news will come as a disappointment to many, and we feel the same. Barrel & Bliss was built with the support of this community, and that’s what made it so special.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to our loyal customers, suppliers, and the broader community for your support, kindness, and encouragement. To our staff, who have poured their hearts into every service, we are so proud of what you achieved. 

We are activily working with our team members and stakeholders during this transition period to ensure that staff of the Maffra Community Sports Club are redeployed and the skills gained continue to serve and support our members and guests.

Looking ahead, the renovated Barrel & Bliss space will remain as a private function venue — giving the community a chance to celebrate birthdays, Christmas parties, and special occasions.  

Barrel & Bliss Gift cards which were purchased online can be refunded or transferred into  Maffra Community Sports Club vouchers. 

We look forward to welcoming the community back into the venue in this new way.
